Miami Kosher Food Bank - Pesach Drive

Rabbi Mendy Cheruty of Chabad Israeli Center of Miami - Miami Kosher Food Bank, have made it their mission to help Jewish families in need of food for Shabbat and the holidays on a regular basis.

An initiative that began in 2012, Rabbi Cheruty and his team of volunteers help more than 100 families weekly by packaging and donating meals and food supplies for Shabbat. “We have never turned a family down,” said Rabbi Cheruty “whoever asks, gets. That is our philosophy.”

This Pesach, our goal is to raise the funds and support needed to help twice the amount of families as last year.

Rabbi Cheruty also has a non-for-profit Kosher supermarket located at 1622 NE 205th Street. The supermarket offers shoppers affordable prices on Kosher foods, where everything is sold at cost price. Rabbi Cheruty and the Chabad Israeli Center of Miami have made it possible and obtainable for many Jewish families to observe the laws of Kashrut; families that couldn’t afford to do so otherwise.

Pesach is the perfect opportunity to make donations, both of time and monetary funds. Rabbi Cheruty will be hosting a complimentary Pesach Seder at the Chabad Israeli Center of Miami.

הפרוייקט הבא הוא כמובן חג הפסח החל בעוד פחות משבועיים. ב"ה במהלך השבועיים הקרובים נחלק למעלה מ-400 סלי מזון ענקיים למשפחות ובהם כל המצרכים לחג הפסח. כל משפחה תקבל ארגזים שיספיקו לה לכל שמונת ימי החג וכוללים בשר עופות דגים ביצים ירקות ופירות וכן מצות שמורות ובקבוקי יין.

בנוסף נערוך ליל סדר מרכזי ענק לכל דכפין ללא עלות וכיד המלך. - רשימת הנזקקים ארוכה מאד ואנחנו זקוקים לכל עזרה על מנת לאפשר לכל משפחה לחגוג את חג הפסח כבני מלכים.

לשם כך יצאנו בקמפיין מיוחד לגיוס כספים למטרה הנעלה הזאת. ר' משה פופאק YMP- Foundation שאוהב לאתגר אותנו כל פעם מחדש התחייב שכל סכום שייכנס – הוא יכפיל אותו. - נותר לנו רק לפנות אליכם תושבי פלורידה היקרים וכל המקורבים לבית חב"ד ולרבי מלובביץ' לעזור לנו לעזור לעוד אנשים, אחינו בית ישראל שגם הם יוכלו לחגוג את החג כמו שצריך. - וכבר הבטיח לנו הקב"ה ש"אין ישראל נגאלין אלא בצדקה" ומי שנותן ביד רחבה הקב"ה יתן לו בחזרה ומי שדואג ליהודי אחר – הקב"ה ידאג לו שלא יחסר לו כלום.
